Hand out pieces or paper and a pencil (if needed) to each student.
Ask students to write about a mistake they made this week and how it made them feel. Students do not need to add their name to these pages.
Once students are done, have them crumple up their papers. Collect the crumpled pages in a small basket, container or bag.
One by one, have each student pick an ‘OOPS’ page and read it out loud.
Have students say something kind and compassionate about the mistake they have read. Ask students to offer a piece of advice or something they would like to hear if they made this mistake.
Reflection Questions:
How did writing out your mistake make you feel?
How do you feel after hearing the kind words your classmate had to say about your mistake?
